Ifeanyi Omenyi
Investigator
To me, knowing what happened is something someone must earn through investigation. I focus on the forest and the trees.
After graduating with a BA in economics from the University of Maryland-College Park, Ifeanyi Omenyi worked for several years as an investigator for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia (PDS) and for the Brooklyn Defender Services in New York. At PDS, he worked primarily in the Parole Division. At the Brooklyn Defender, Ifeanyi did immigration and criminal defense investigations, and he trained law students at Hofstra Law.
Following his work in public criminal defense, Ifeanyi worked for several firms, including a private organization researching environmental, social, and governance data on companies and executives. Later, he joined a private investigations firm specializing in corporate governance and due diligence. This latter work involved researching people and companies both nationally and internationally, ensuring their compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other laws. Ifeanyi worked at these companies collectively for four years before joining Dinolt Becnel & Wells Investigative Group in 2023.
Ifeanyi is a native Igbo and English speaker, and he is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. He is a licensed private investigator in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
