Job Description: Investigators are a critical part of any legal team. They must demonstrate considerable resourcefulness, initiative, creativity, self-motivation, tact, and discretion. Dinolt Becnel & Wells is seeking an Employment Law Interviewer. This position follows established protocols to interview clients and witnesses related to employment law violations and relay impressions orally and in writing to the legal team. The right candidate will have excellent interviewing skills; the ability to review and analyze volumes of documents; and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with individuals in an array of contexts. In this position, the employee will maintain strong working relationships with the case attorneys and law clerks. Investigators/Interviewers will have significant writing responsibilities, including comprehensive reports of client and witness interviews.
Minimum requirements: a graduate-level degree, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a highly ethical character, residence in either the D.C. or Baltimore areas and at least three years of full- time experience conducting investigative or comparable interviews. Applicable interviewing experience can include fields like journalism, HR, EEOC, marketing, and social sciences. Qualified candidates must demonstrate experience interviewing, building rapport, and gathering/documenting information in dynamic and challenging environments.
Preferred Qualifications: proficiency in Spanish and an active private investigator registration.
Salary range: $50,000 to $60,000
Our Investigator positions are remote, full-time, and nonexempt. They include company-paid health insurance and a company-contributed retirement account. All candidates must pass a thorough background check.
